In 2004 she was appointed assistant lecturer at the Department of Oncology of the Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical Academy and, at the same time, gynaecological oncologist at the gynaecological oncology unit of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Oncology Centre.
In June 2007 she defended her PhD thesis on "Neoadjuvant therapy in the combined treatment of stage T1b cervical cancer".
In 2009 she was appointed head of the oncology course at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. In June 2009 she received the academic title of associate professor of the Department of Oncology. In September 2015 she defended her doctoral thesis on "A method for choosing the optimal treatment for stage IIB cervical cancer". Since 2016 Anna Kryzhanivska has been a professor of the Department of Oncology. In 2015 she was awarded the State Prize in Science and Technology.
