Hysteroscopy is a method of treatment and/or diagnosis of pathologies of the cervix and uterine cavity. Using modern optical devices, the doctor can both perform a detailed diagnostic procedure (office hysteroscopy) and, if necessary, perform any manipulation (surgical or therapeutic hysteroscopy).
Indications for the diagnostic procedure:
- infertility
- chronic endometritis
- anatomical or functional malformations of the uterus
- bleeding during menopause
- menstrual irregularities in the childbearing age
- internal endometriosis
- fibroids or polyps
- intrauterine synechiae (adhesions)
- endometrial cancer
- endometrial polyp
- adenomyosis
- suspected endometrial hyperplasia
Hysteroscopy is best performed when the endometrium is thin, i.e. after the end of menstruation until the 10th day of the menstrual cycle.
Hysteroscopy lasts 10-15 minutes and does not require staying in the clinic for more than 3 hours.
At the Extramed clinic, you have until April 15 to get a 15% discount on office hysteroscopy.
The disease is easier to prevent than to overcome.
